Family Mediation provides an opportunity to meet with professionally trained mediators in a neutral and confidential setting.
Family Mediation is a way of resolving difficulties through joint meetings with the help of a trained impartial person. It creates an opportunity to sort out practical family arrangements, particularly during separation and divorce.
Jersey Family Mediation Service offers family mediation at its base in St Helier. Although it shares premises with Relate the two services are not otherwise connected.
Who can use mediation?
Mediation can help if you are in any of these situations:
- Still living together but plan to part
- Have recently separated
- Have been separated for some time
- Are already divorced
- Have children
- Do not have children
- Never lived with the other person
- Are not married to each other
- Are in a same sex relationship
- Are a grandparent or other family member wanting to make arrangements to see children
